About Me

Hello there im Alexandra the artist behind Shyflyer Arts

My love for animals is a central theme in my artwork. Having transitioned from traditional materials to digital media, I find the convenience and versatility of digital tools to be both liberating and inspiring.

 

The vast array of apps and technologies available today allows me to explore new creative possibilities and bring my visions to life in ways that were previously unimaginable.

​

I studied Creative Media and UX Design at Edinburgh College. I learned a combination of technical skills and user-centered design principles. I also learned a lot about animation, photography, sculpture and graphic design.

​

I live in Edinburgh with my partner and our beloved cat Beau. This city always has lots of festivals and events going on. There is a lot of history here and i love looking at the architecture of the older areas compared to the new ones. 

 

Beyond my artwork, I enjoy immersing myself in video games, tending to my collection of plants, and listening to music. These hobbies not only provide relaxation but also fuel my creativity, offering new perspectives and ideas that I incorporate into my work.

Through my art, I aim to share my passion for animals and the beauty I see in the world around me, using digital media to connect with others and evoke a sense of wonder and appreciation.
